Head of a statue of Athena rendered in a scale smaller than normal. The upper right part and the nose are missing.

The head is slightly turned to the left, the eyes are almond-shaped and the eyebrows slim and arched. The goddess is wearing a helmet, whose crest was fixed in the drill on top of her head, and earrings on her ears. Traces of colour are preserved on her pupils, hair and the earring.

The head, along with a fragment of a foot Ακρ. 162, have been attributed to the torso of Athena Ακρ. 293, which in turn is believed to form part of a composition together with the torso of a warrior Ακρ. 141. This warrior probably depicted a Giant fighting in the Gigantomachy.
